Call Summary
Jersey City Medical Center, a facility of RWJBarnabas Health, and the Bridge Art Gallery are seeking colorful and innovative artists to create a vibrant mural design for the Jersey City Medical Center in Jersey City, NJ. This ongoing effort is to create an inviting and inspiring environment for the Jersey City Medical Center’s multicultural community.
The mural installation site is an exterior wall at Jersey City Medical Center on Grand Street in Jersey City, NJ. This exterior wall will feature a mural design showcasing the Jersey City community.

Original Artwork:
Please create your original art using the following dimensions:
Original Artwork Dimensions: 25” width by 11” height
The Art surface material can include canvas, paper, wood, poster board, and virtually any flat surface.
Artwork Goals
The final approved design should reflect the Jersey City Medical Center’s mission and values, our commitment to medical support service, equity, and inclusivity, and the use of the building and surrounding environment. The artwork should add a sense of vitality and meaning to the Jersey City Medical Center community.
Artwork Installation
The selected artwork will be printed and installed on the exterior flood wall of the main Jersey City Medical Center building on Grand Street. The JCMC Arts Program covers all expenses for the print production and mounting of your artwork onto the flood wall.
The Selection Process:
A Review Committee will review all submissions. The review committee for this project includes staff and leaders from the Jersey Center Medical Center.

To ensure an easy and safe submission process, the JCMC Arts Program uses this website to accept all submissions.
Everyone is eligible to submit artwork, and multiple submissions are permitted.
If you are under 18 years old, you must have a parent or legal guardian submit your work.
Compensation:
The final selected artwork will receive compensation for their artwork. The JCMC Arts Program will license the artwork for a fee of $2500. The Artist will maintain ownership of their original artwork.
Artists maintain all rights to submitted images.
